I hardly have any time with a 6 wk old and a 2 yr old on my hands at the moment, but regardless…we are moving ahead! I just wanted to share with you some of the great stuff that we will be coming out with in December.
The first item is a girly alphabet set:

The second item is a retro alphabet set:

The final item is a really fun set we are still developing (the Hippy Stamp Kit). The idea is that you have 1 hippy, multiple hats and multiple sayings for a full year of Hippy Holidays. I think we are going to be adding some background stamps too.

Let me know what you think!

Well, let’s see, what’s new? I have been up to too many things the last few days. I am due to have this baby any second (really) and I am frantically trying to jump start Stampola so that we can keep my Mom happily employed. So far this week can be summed up with the following accomplishments:
- Got us listed on Froogle (http://www.froogle.com), waiting for the first upload to take (impatiently)
- Got out our first newsletter in 2 years.
- Got the Type Trays listed on the website.
- Listed all of the new baby set stamps and their singular versions. Related all the stamps to each other.
- Got the woodmount relationship stored procedure working again.
- Got re-signed up for the AMRSC (A Monthly Rubber Stamps Club) and put together the listing for next month.
- Created a new banner for AMRSC.
- Designed an ad for VSN (Vamp Stamp News) that will run in November.
- Finishing up the Retail Catalog.
- Ordered Joyce Chen Scissors, which we will carry once again.
- Paid bills.
- Changed out products on front of website.
- Added Got Woodmounts section to front of website.
- Researched Amazon.com. They want $39.99/month to list our products. Not at this time, thanks!
- Researched Yahoo Groups and made a posting calendar for groups that allow COMMS.
Still to do:
- Send a catalog & sample to RSM (RubberStampMadness)
- Send VSN a catalog, stamp and sample card for review.
- Look into stamp shows around Dallas.
- Promote wholesale manufacturing of stamps on our website with a new category up top. Write up exactly what this entails.
- Take out classified ads in RSM, The Rubber Stamper and Rubber Stamping Retailer regarding wholesale manufacture of stamps.
- Begin enclosing catalogs in orders. Figure out how we will financially swing this since they cost us around .30 each.
- Prepare Merry Christmas and Hand Stamped by…stamps for website. Give them product #s and figure out pricing.
- Begin designing our October newsletter.
- Add 5 Family Tree on Cushion to inventory on website.
- Design a whole new series of banners for the Adrot on the top of the website.
Think thats enough? I’m sure in my sleep I’ll come up with more!
Meanwhile…check out our COOL type trays we did add to the site today. I hope they sell!

I have been so busy getting the new stamps put together so they will be ready when the newsletter is released.
Mindy is going to have the baby soon..really soon. I am so excited. Every time my phone rings I think it may be Mindy or Chris telling me she is on her way to the hospital.
If you don’t know by now, I am Mindy’s mom and I work for Stampola. I am a scrapbooker, rubber stamper and I have a collection of scrapbooking materials and rubber stamps . I have rubber stamped since the 1980’s and scrapbooked that long too.
Mindy will send the newsletter out soon, but she is also ready to have the baby. Who knows which one will come out first!

Today was my baby shower for the new “Little Dude” as we are calling him. Wendy was so nice to throw the shower for me, even though she has been incredibly busy and has only been back from Alaska for a few days. About 8 or 9 gals showed up and we played a bunch of fun games (find the safety pin in the rice while blindfolded, word scramble, baby shower bingo and toy baby in ice cube who is born first). I got home around 7pm and was very tired. I wanted to go grocery shopping (cat box stinks and NEED to buy litter), but Chris had been watching our daughter all day long and he had lots of work to do. So, I watched her and got her her bath and got her ready for bed and all. She went down about 10:15 PM, and that is WAY too late for me to do any grocery shopping.
Tomorrow is my Mom’s BDay party at our house. It should be pretty small (just us 3 and them 2). We will BBQ something. Chris wants to thaw some of our Alaskan Salmon and cook it, so I need to make sure we have some pure maple syrup as I use that to make homemade terryaki with soy. That sounds so good.
Just reminded me, I haven’t eaten dinner yet! Ack!
And all these baby clothes I want to put on eBay. Guess it will have to wait for another day. I am about DONE for tonight. Whew.
I want to decide on a paint color for the baby’s room and hire someone to do it FAST. We are using the Zanzibar line, it is so cute. I think a sage green and/or a beige would go great. But if I paint that room I really should do Riley’s room too, then what color do I do her room? She doesn’t really have a theme at the moment as we have her in a toddler bed I expect to last about 1 year. After that we will buy her a completed bedroom set (twin bed, dresser, etc.) and then I will want to think about “themes”. Hmmph. What about lavendar for her room, think that is generic enough that I could find a theme? I need to look at the Pottery Barn Kids room colors in the catalog, maybe that will give me some ideas.
That’s it for tonight.

I have been working on the new alphabet stamps. These stamps are so cool. I have a set of my own and I have been using them a lot of different ways. I made cards to send to my grandchildren in California and I am using them to write names. They are so easy to use and you can write in an straight line easily. I will soon make a scrapbook page with them and I will share it with you . Keep watching for this page….It will be here soon!

Well, yesterday we FINALLY got a big order out that has been on my todo list for quite a while. What a relief to get it done. Now we can start focussing on making and marketing our NEW stuff. It is mostly for Baby Boys (gee, wonder why?). We have a really fun font set, and some adorable baby boy sets:
There is the Froggy set, only $16.99 for both stamps mounted:

Third, the Snail Baby Boy Rubber Stamp set, only $15.99 for both stamps mounted:

And lastly, the adorable, adorable font set, which we are still getting ready to put on the site. I think the price is going to be $49.95/set for all 26 stamps mounted (they are 1.25″ x 1.25″), which comes to less than $2 a stamp, so even though it sounds like a lot, it is really a bargain:

Leave some comments and tell me what you think of our new designs!
